They say the abs are made in the kitchen, but just walking to the kitchen can feel like a forest of temptation. Some homemade pho on the stove, shrimp crackers on the kitchen island – if it was easy, everyone would have solid eight packs. With the social season coming up its become even harder to keep your diet in check and to stay away from unnecessary sugars.

We’re no stranger to different diets from vegetarian, vegan, pescatarian, plant-based, fruitarian and even flexitarian (to name a few). While to each their own has their opinion of what constitutes as healthy eating, one thing we can all agree on is that greens are good for you – and the more the better! The term slow food can be said as an umbrella term for healthy eating and is used to represent dining concept made with whole foods with health in mind. Having said that, here are some of our go to slow foods in Hong Kong to help kickstart your clean eating regime.
