Can you feel the spring breeze in the air? The sun is rising earlier, flowers are starting to bloom and stores are changing their shelves to greet you with this year’s Spring/Summer collection. We’re excited to see what the fashion realm has in store for us, especially after seeing the 2021 Pantone Spring colors! If you’re unfamiliar with the Pantone colors, the Pantone Color Institute was established for the fashion industry to forecast the season’s most outstanding colors which you can expect to see on the New York runway fashion.

This year, the colors for Spring/Summer showcases our desires for flexible color that works all year round. Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute explains that the colors for this season combine a level of comfort and relaxation with sparks of energy that encourage and uplifts our moods. If you can’t wait to google the S/S 21 Pantone colors, we’ve attached a photo right below for your reference!

Just look at these gorgeous arrays of colors! We’re especially digging Rust, Amethyst Orchid and Desert Mist. We’re sure you’ll see some familiar colors from the new collection that are stocking the shelves right now such as Cerulean and Buttercream. Now that we’re on the same level of excitement for what is to come this fashion season, we list ways to incorporate the 2021 Pantone Spring colors into your wardrobe to bring some pop of color to your daily wear!

Add a pop of color to the core classics

While there are many combinations of ways to mix and match the Pantone colors, an iconic duo this season is the Ultimate Gray and Illuminating (yellow). Leatrice Eiseman says “The union of an enduring Ultimate Gray with the vibrant yellow Illuminating expresses a message of positivity supported by fortitude.” The neutral yet dignified gray is a great way to complement a vibrant color like yellow. As such, try mix and matching the core classics with the seasonal New York Color Palette – the world is your oyster after all.

Take for example this outfit below. The knitted Ultimate Gray colored sweater gives the outfit an overall balance when paired with the Illuminating yellow. If you’re worried that your pop of color is going to stand out too much, try to find a balance within the colors. The model’s bag even compliments the look with its neutral-color so as not to overpower the yellow while also giving the outfit an oomph factor with the textured and patterned leather of the bag.

Make it High fashion but affordable

One brand that stood out to us in colors is Gucci. Their 2021 S/S collection is all about the pastel colors – ones that are bright but also the ones that are understated. Take for example this look from the Gucci Beloved collection! The beautiful Raspberry Sorbet colored coat greatly compliments the model’s hat which is similar to the Pantone color of a light Burnt Coral. We love this outfit to serve major looks for an outdoor tea party – perfect for the spring weather.

But that doesn’t mean you have to break the bank to wear these colors. Search your favorite online fashion stores and we’re sure they’re already putting up designs inspired by the latest runway looks. We love this colorful matching suit set from ASOS which you can coordinate with your best friends for the perfect spring outing look.

Accessorize, accessorize, accessorize

We can’t forget about accessories! Sure, there are statement necklaces, bags and shoes which we can talk about, but we want to introduce to you some more creative ways to bring out the Pantone colors! We’re talking nails! If you’re looking to fully embody the Pantone Spring Colors why not change your regular manicures to suit the colors of the range. Simply ask your manicurist if they have similar colors and from there you can go wild with the designs.

Our pick is Urban Chillez Nail Bar located in the friendly neighborhood of Wong Chuk Hang. With their eco-friendly and cruelty-free manicures, not to mention their impressive range of colors, we’re sure there will be new colors and designs to explore. Urban Chillez is an inviting space for both men and women who needs a good pampering sesh and a chill place to hang out. So bring your friends and fully express the Pantone spring colors through your nails!
